Hotaru is firefly youkai who in the past had a profound friendship with Akifumi, a human that she was in love with.
Appearance
Hotaru is a beautiful girl with blond hair that goes past her shoulders. She wears a mauve kimono with a pale green coat. Hotaru often wears a mask with a simplified version of 'firefly' in Japanese written on it but sometimes takes it off at night.
Personality
History
When he was young, Akifumi had the ability to see the ayakashi, but lost the ability when he got older. This saddened her deeply.
Plot
At the beginning, not knowing her name, Takashi Natsume calls her Kiyo.
Abilities
Hotaru is supposedly a firefly turned into a youkai by legend. She has the ability to turn into a firefly but once she does, she lives as a firefly for the rest of her life. She also glows faintly at night.
