The Black Robes work against the White Hats during the mock battle of The Moon-Splitting Festival on Mt. Misumi.
They accidentally trap Takashi Natsume, disguised as Houzuki and Hiiragi during the festival. Suspicion falls when they smell a human scent from the unconscious Houzuki.
When the situation worsens, Nyanko-sensei appears in his true form, impressing the Black Robes, as only the true Houzuki could summoned such a beast to his aid.
