Chapter 43 is the forty-third chapter of the Natsume's Book of Friends manga series.

Summary

Natsume Takashi and Tanuma Kaname are caught in a rainstorm and find shelter at Taki Toru's place. There, Nyanko-Sensei detects a powerful presence somewhere, as does Natsume. He learns that Taki's late grandfather was fascinated by yokai and their unseen demonic world, even though he had lacked the slightest degree of natural spiritual ability to perceive them.

Natsume is then approached by a yokai who knew the late Taki Shinichiro, and warns him that a powerful and vengeful yokai was sealed by Shinichiro himself while attempting to cast a strong upside-down sealing spell, completely obvious to how successful it was.
